Criteria
The Hiring Our Heroes Fellowship Program is a 12-week initiative designed to support transitioning service members and military spouses as they move into civilian careers. Fellows are matched with host companies based on their skills and preferences, where they gain hands-on, real-world experience four days a week, complemented by weekly professional development sessions. This immersive experience not only enhances professional skills but also significantly improves employment prospects in the civilian workforce.
The 12-Week Fellowship Training Plan is a full-time program that runs Monday through Friday between designated start and end dates. It combines immersive on-the-job training with structured professional development. Fellows participate in weekly leadership huddles, have opportunities to earn certifications for upskilling/reskilling, and receive instruction in resume building, interviewing, LinkedIn optimization, and strategic communication. The curriculum progresses from orientation and individual planning to project development, execution, and final evaluation, culminating in a graduation ceremony. The program maintains a strong focus on career readiness and corporate integration, with an impressive 85% employment offer rate upon completion.
